Fresh Sugarcane Juice

Ingredients
- •4-5 fresh sugarcane stalks, peeled
- •1/4 cup ice water (optional, for thinning)
- Ice cubes for serving
Steps
- 1Peel the sugarcane stalks thoroughly, removing all the outer green layer until the inner yellow core is fully exposed.
- 2Cut the stalks into 5 cm pieces. Run them through a manual or electric sugarcane juicer until the juice extracts. Dry fiber will be left aside.
- 3Strain the juice through a fine mesh to remove any small pieces. Add 1/4 cup ice water if the juice is too thick.
- 4Pour into glasses over ice cubes and serve immediately — sugarcane juice loses its color and flavor within just 30 minutes.
Tips
💡Only fresh juice is allowed — bottled or carton versions contain added sugar and preservatives. Press it the moment you drink it.
💡Without a juicer, ask the sugarcane seller to press it at purchase. If you can't drink it immediately, chill it right away — it spoils fast.
